8 weeks!

Its amazing how “busy” I feel. I think that being tired compounds that feeling, because I actually have a ton of help with the boys. Almost every day, someone is around to help when I need it. Whether it be Andy taking Daniel or Sam with him in the morning to get his crews going on the job, or Aunt Kate spending the day with us. We even have a friend named Stephanie coming over two mornings a week to play with Daniel. And yet, I am too “busy” to update the blog!

Sam is a big boy compared to his brother. All of the 0 – 3 month clothing has been taken out of his drawers and I moved all of the 3 months and 3 – 6 month stuff in. He has his two month appointment on the 15th. I’ll post his stats after that!

He is really starting to smile and coo. And no matter how hard I try, he is not interested in a plastic pacifier… Daniel sleeps with at least 5 of them in his bed and Sam wants nothing to do with them!

Daniel still calls him “Baby”, just refuses to call him Sam. He smiles every time he wakes up and sees Sam in the next room. Daniel has started mimicking a lot of what we say – we have to

start being careful :S He says “Thank You” (sounds like “tank em”) and we’re working on “I love you.” He also enjoys sitting on the potty and brushing his teeth at the same time… yeah, he just likes the baby toothpaste and for some reason he likes sitting on the potty – not sure! He’s only gone #1 two times, but it’s a start. Last week I spent $70 on diapers and another $13 on wipes – sheez!!

Last weekend was cousin Kathy’s wedding. HI MARY :D The whole Family was in town – including Uncle Steven. Steven turns 20 in the next week and a week later will be deployed to Afghanistan… we will miss him greatly and would appreciate prayers for his safety!

Nama and Bopa were in town to babysit while we went to the wedding. They came with a big gift for Daniel – a sand box!!! He loves it!!

Sam is currently drifting off to sleep at 7:30 pm. This is usually his longest stretch of sleep. Normally he will wake up around 1:00 am. If I didn’t have things to do (like update the blog ;) I would go to bed right now too! We’re working on his “schedule” and hoping that it is at least manageable by next Tuesday – that’s when I go back to work. I’m not going to type about going back because I’ll just get sad. I’m grateful to have a job, just sad to be leaving my boys.
