Great month!

February has been a great month!

Daniel was able to experience life without a nasal canula in February

I had my first birthday as a Mom in February (we celebrated on both sides of the state!)

Daniel got to spend a lot of time with his Aunts this month

Daniel's motor skills are increasing every day! Last Saturday, Andy's Mom and I watched him pull out his pacifier and put it back in! He's very close to doing it again, this time on purpose :D

And Dolley finally got her first haircut since before Daniel was born :)!!!

Sorry Dolley!!

Introducing...

...the "wireless" Daniel!

Even though he screamed through almost the entire visit, Daniel's cardiologist told us that he could be without the extra oxygen while he is awake - as long as he doesn't seem to struggle for air. So for a trial period lasting one month, Daniel will only have the extra oxygen on while he is sleeping!

Can you believe that he is even more cute!?

We were told that his heart looked good, but Daniel still has pulmonary hypertension - a condition that causes his blood pressure in the vessels in his lungs to be elevated. The doctor couldn't explain the exact reason why this is happening, since it could be caused by a number of things (including his surgery). He said that he wasn't worried about it now though, because Daniel looks so good! We'll keep praying that this condition goes away.

He is so much fun now. This is my favorite age so far. He is "talking" a ton and playing!

Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support. Blessings to you all!

Busted!

Guess who discovered his thumb?

So far he prefers the right one.

Last week he celebrated his three month birthday – thank you Jessie for the birthday message :D He also figured out how to use his hands – he is now grabbing and holding! It is amazing to watch these new transitions.

We had a busy week and weekend. Andy manned a both for Ait-Tite Insulation at the GR Home Show all weekend and I got to dress up like a dummy. I was Larry and Shana’s husband Jason was Vince. (I’m the one in the car). Oh, the things I do for my job ;)

We go to see the cardiologist on the 12th. Please pray that Daniel’s heart and lungs are strong enough to finally be free of the extra oxygen! Thank you!
