Two More Weeks

The Emmitt Family enjoyed a beautiful Easter Sunday at church. Daddy and Daniel had matching outfits. They both looked so cute in their ties!! :)
And what kid doesn't want a chocolate bunny on his dinner plate, next to his ham? Thanks Great Grandpa!
Granny gave Daniel his Easter basket, complete with Elmo cup - as Elmo is Daniel's FAVORITE character right now. If you get a chance, ask Granny how many Easter baskets she's made for her own kids over the years ;) I guess that's what Grandmas are for!
We FINALLY finished the basement living room!! Just a year & a half after we started it, it has carpet and is a great space for Daniel to play. Andy added a note on the concrete with our initials and the date that the carpet was put down.

Uncle Steven is now home on leave from the army. He just graduated from Airborne - he jumps out of airplanes!! I've seen the pictures and video and its crazy! We are very proud of him! He reports to Fort Bragg on May 12th, so he'll be home for Baby 2's birth.

Baby 2 is due two weeks from tomorrow. I had been having so many contractions a few weeks ago that I was sure this baby was going to come early. As is the case for most pregnant women near the end of their term, I'm "ready." My doctor has mentioned that he does not want me to go past 40 weeks, or else he will want to schedule a repeat c-section. Since Daniel's birth, I have been hoping and praying that the birth of our second child would be able to be "natural." I would appreciate prayers for a safe and healthy "natural" birth, one that does not result in a c-section. We know that the most important thing is a healthy baby and healthy momma and praise God that the two of us have been healthy thus far!
Thank you and enjoy this beautiful weekend!

5 more weeks!

I know I look big, but I was feeling brave and decided to post a belly picture! And yes, there is only one baby in there!

35 weeks pregnant as of this past weekend. We had an ultrasound last week and the baby looked great! It was measuring 5 lbs 14 oz - which is about 5 oz bigger than Daniel was measuring at this stage.
Speaking of our boy, he is now 17 months and doing great. All of the sudden, his teeth have come in. He is even working on a couple of molars! We go back to the cardiologist next week, so we will make sure to post another update soon!
